Which PowerGrade(s) should I get?
One PowerGrade
If you’re only going to purchase one PowerGrade I would look at getting the Kodak 2383 emulation. It’s pretty much the gold standard of print film emulations. It has natural skin tones and pleasing well balanced colours which make it easy to work with. If you’re into teal and orange looks, it also has a cyan push which assists in creating that type of look.
Two PowerGrades
If you’re looking at getting two PowerGrades, I would look at getting 2383 for the reasons above, along with Fujifilm 3521XD. 3521XD is slightly more saturated compared to 2383 and offers a thicker, more vibrant colours especially with the Tints node disabled. It doesn’t have as strong a cyan push as 2383, but it’s easy to copy the Cyan node over to achieve similar results. With these two PowerGrades you should be covered for most PFE style looks.
The Bundle
For anymore than two, its best to get all the PowerGrades via the bundle.
